I did not read the first in this series,  but this is a great standalone without the first book.  Taylor and Carter couldn’t come from two more different worlds but fate crosses their paths several times leading them exactly where they belong. I really enjoyed how vulnerable and open Taylor is when examining her life and her priorities. Carter is a swoon worthy alpha male taking care of his family while looking for his purpose in the world.   The attraction between Taylor and Carter builds in such a sweet way. I would have liked a little more drama in their secrets but I’m a sucker for angst. If you like sugary HEA’s this will be right up your alley (Review by Terri “Jane”)
