It was a great book that took me on the journey I wanted to go on….
I went into this knowing it was not going to be Little Women, even in the modern sense. It is loosely based, ticking boxes of what it should be or how it should match up to the classical literature it is advertised as. Anna, took the theme and the struggles of the time period and transitions them to the current struggles and trends in modern times and families.
So, I shook that out of my system and read it for the book it was. It took a couple of chapters to build up for me but once I was in, I was in. It was a great read and I really enjoyed it. I have read other reviews and discussions, but please go into this with an open mind and enjoy the book for what it is.
