This is a book built on redemption, finding yourself after tragedy, breaking down walls you have built, stop punishing yourself and start not just looking the part but to start to live. I enjoyed this book so much. Enjoyed watching Flint do everything in his power to not get pulled into the beauty and quirk of Emily. The stone or ice that is surrounding him, slowly chips away or melts away, but the way it happens and the road it leads.-Review by Catherine(Catty)

This book was so surprising! It was surprising in how with every turn of the page it just built and built, getting better and better. This a book that you don’t realize how complex it is until you’ve reached the end and look back and see what an AMAZING job Jewel did creating so many intricate layers. My heart simply expanded with every word I read. I LOVED the characters, especially Harrison (Harry), the main character, Flint’s son. And don’t even get me started on Ellen.
The relationship built between Flint and Ellen and the effort it took for them both to find forgiveness; in themselves, in others, to ask for forgiveness…wow.-Review by Teri(Jane)
