Review of Marriage of Inconvenience by Penny Reid…This Book Rocked Our Socks!!!!

5 BIG STARS!

Although this is book 7 in the series, this is the first book I’ve read. And it is fabulous! I don’t think it made a difference that I hadn’t read the others, although there are some relationships I would love to go back read about.
Marriage of Inconvenience is such a well rounded book. For me it had a bit of everything. There is the great rom-com aspect, the alpha male, the quirky heroine, a dsyfunctional family (a good one and a bad one), an adorable dog…basically everything.
The two main hooks that made me personally fall completely in love was Kat’s obsession with cheese (so funny and cute in the book!) and Dan’s ability to totally tell off another character while quoting lines from West Side Story’s Jet Song (“When you’re a Jet, You’re a Jet all way, From your first cigarette, To your last dyin’ day….”). Pure genius! Please read, laugh, and fall so love with all of the characters!-(Review by Terri “Jane”)

How is this the first Knitting in the City book I have read in the series? Was I living under a rock? But book four dropped me right in and had me loving this book from chapter 1. You take this woman who is in a way, running away from her “real like and family affairs”, but it all comes back to bite her in the butt. She has to make quick decisions to save her future and keep herself out of the clutches of her asinine cousin.
So, the plan is hatched to marry, the only possible way to save yourself, right? Kat’s plan involves making a contract of convenience with her crush Dan the security man. Boy is this looking for a way to not end well or in a way that can become inconvenient……-Review by Catherine(Catty)
