Wow, talk about emotional and gut wrenching. Marie is stronger than she will ever know. Having been raised seeing her mother being abused, once that abuse begins to turn on her she ran. She was never going to be like her mother, until she realized too late that she too married a monster.
Mickey only wanted his daughter to be raised by a loving mother. When she turned out to be junkie he is left to pick the pieces.
This book picks up years later. Circumstances, chance, fate, whatever you want to call it bring Marie and Mickey together. But with so many demons between them their path to finding each other is a struggle. Marie has very good reason to stay away from Mickey and his world, but help is definitely something she needs.
Wow, you will love this book. The struggle for each of them is very real. You won’t want to miss what brings Marie and Mickey together, and what tries to tear them a part. A must read. (Review by Terri “Jane”)

Oh Freaking Abby…..you did me in on this one. The baggage that Marie is running from and the monster who is lapping at her heels is so sad, maddening and devastating. She wants to get away from all things MC and runs right into it with Mickey.
Mickey, has been raising his daughter alone, after the mother became a drug addict and couldn’t be a mother or function at all. His daughter is his life, and his MC have been the center of his life for so long…until he laid eyes on Abby.
