Review of The Scars I Bare by J.L. Berg

This is more of a 3.5 stars for me, but this is primarily because I did not read the first book. You don’t necessarily need to read it to enjoy this one, but I kept finding myself so intrigued about other relationships, which I’m sure were in the The Choices I Made (By the Bay #1) book, that I couldn’t really focus on the relationships in this one.

This book picks up after a very tragic event where Dean has lost his arm. His nurse during recovery Cora, comes back into his life through her own tragic events. This book follows their love story. I think I need to go back and read the first book to really appreciate the beautiful story that J.L. Berg has created here. (Review by Terri “Jane”)
