Reviews of Ink by Elizabeth Hunter

*** ARC Received for Honest Review ***

This is so going on my best of 2018 list! I live in California and have visited some small towns outside of San Francisco and can completely picture this town. This is the type of book that makes you believe that every place in it exists, every person is real, and has you booking a trip ASAP.

I not only love the main characters Emmie and Ox, I love everyone (even Ox’s “b” of an ex turns into some one I want to meet and check out her shop by the end of the book). If I had the courage, I would so want to be Emmie and open a bookstore just like INK! You HAVE to see this town, meet these people, and of course I mean read this book. This is simply pure fun. It’s what you want a book to deliver. You will walk away with a whole new “book family” not just book boyfriend. (Review by Terri “Jane”)

Elizabeth made these characters so real, their circumstances, their pasts, and the slow burn and build up of their relationship. Slow burn is so hard to pull off and it has to be with the right characters and they have to be developed just right. Well those characters are Emmie and Ox.

I wanted to be their friends, be in their inner circle, part of Ink….Elizabeth makes it so vivid and makes you want to go and be a part of it all. That is the way you should feel coming away from a book. I felt warm and breathless, comforted and content and a bit voyeuristic. Loved this book, it is a must read of 2018.-Review by Catherine(Catty)
